Deliver me, O Lord

(2 Samuel 15:13-29)
1
Yahweh, I have many enemies! There are many people who oppose me.
2
Many people are saying about me, “God will certainly not help him.”
3
But Yahweh, you are like a shield that protects me. You greatly honor me, and you encourage me.
4
I cry out to you, Yahweh, and you answer me from Zion, your sacred hill.
5
At night I lay down and slept, and I woke up in the morning because you, Yahweh, took care of me all during the night.
6
There may be thousands of enemy soldiers who surround me, but I am not afraid.
7
Yahweh, arise! My God, come and rescue me again! You will insult my enemies by slapping them on their cheeks; when you strike them, you will destroy their power, with the result that they cannot hurt anyone.
8
Yahweh, you are the one who saves your people from their enemies. Yahweh, bless your people!

Deliver me, O Lord

(2 Samuel 15:13-29)
1
LORD, how my adversaries have increased! Many are those who rise up against me.
2
Many there are who say of my soul,There is no help for him in God.”(a) Selah.
3
But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
4
I cry to the LORD with my voice, and he answers me out of his holy hill. Selah.
5
I laid myself down and slept. I awakened, for the LORD sustains me.
6
I will not be afraid of tens of thousands of people who have set themselves against me on every side.
7
Arise, LORD! Save me, my God! For you have struck all of my enemies on the cheek bone. You have broken the teeth of the wicked.
8
Salvation belongs to the LORD. May your blessing be on your people. Selah.
